Browns Dominate Texans in Wild Card Win

In a stunning turn of events, the Houston Texans upset the Cleveland Browns 36-22 in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday, December 24, 2023.

The Texans, who finished the regular season 10-7, jumped out to an early lead and never looked back. Quarterback Kyle Allen threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns, while running back Dameon Pierce ran for 102 yards and a touchdown.

The Browns, who finished 11-6, were led by quarterback Deshaun Watson, who threw for 246 yards and two touchdowns. However, the Browns were unable to keep up with the Texans' high-powered offense.

The Texans' defense also played a key role in the victory, intercepting Watson twice and returning one for a touchdown. The Browns' defense struggled to generate pressure on Allen, who was able to pick apart the Browns' secondary.

The win was the Texans' first playoff victory since 2019 and sends them to the Divisional Round, where they will face the Kansas City Chiefs.
