Boeing's Starliner Spacecraft Launches with Astronauts Aboard

Historic Mission Marks First Crewed Flight for Boeing's Starliner

Paving the Way for Future Commercial Space Travel

WEB Boeing's first Starliner spacecraft, designed to carry astronauts into orbit, has successfully lifted off atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket, embarking on a historic mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

Developed in collaboration with NASA's Commercial Crew Program, the CST-100 Starliner spacecraft represents a significant milestone in the development of commercial space travel. This launch marks the first time the Starliner spacecraft has flown with humans onboard, with NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams making history as the first crew to experience this spacecraft.

The launch took place at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, and thousands of spectators, including NASA officials and family members of the astronauts, gathered to witness this momentous event. The spacecraft is scheduled to dock with the ISS approximately 24 hours after launch, where the astronauts will conduct a series of tests and experiments.
